Introducing ‘Fíon Focus’ at Daróg Wine Bar 🥂

Our Fíon Focus is a delightful exploration into the world of wines, updated throughout the year to celebrate new and unique selections.

"Fíon", the Irish word for wine, sets the stage for our mission to shine a unique spotlight on diverse grape varieties and talented winemakers every month. This initiative is designed to celebrate the rich tapestry of flavours and aromas that the world of wine has to offer.

At Daróg, we are passionate advocates for Riesling, and to honour this esteemed grape, we've dedicated the entire month of May to celebrating it, coinciding with Blas na Bealtaine in collaboration with Blas Na Gaillimhe (A Taste of Galway).

Riesling is a versatile grape known for its aromatic profile, ranging from floral to citrus notes. With a unique ability to express the terroir, Riesling produces wines that can span the spectrum from bone-dry to lusciously sweet, offering a delightful and diverse tasting experience.
